Policies and Procedures

Parish councils were legally established through the Local Government Act of 1972 and are bound by its provisions for their operation. Additionally, parish councils can create their own policies and procedures to address specific situations. These policies can be made available to the public via the council’s website. To stay up-to-date with changes in the law, new policies may need to be created and existing policies are regularly reviewed for relevance, appropriateness, and legal compliance.
